The treck back to Dallas was a blast.. deciding not to take the major highway filled with chain fast food stops and tourist traps-- the tour ran us through rural Texas- by far a better decision!

Off for a weekend getaway we decided to embark on the Texas Hill Country.. I was hoping for a plane ride, but time did not permit..We had a great trip.. covering Fredricksburg and taking back country roads the whole way back to Big D...

After an intense day of prep, we pulled together a very South African inspired menu- only appropriate to pair with the fantastic wines that were flown in just for this dinner!
